Nickname given by Matt to his idiotic conspiracy-theorist roommate. Although Tinfoil made Matt’s life hell, all of AH.com was entertained by Matt’s “Daily Struggles of Park Bethseda” running commentary on his hijinks.

The name is a reference to the tinfoil hats that conspiracy theorists wear to block the thought control waves from the evil shadow government. It has become so popular on the board that it is now used as a verb and adjective, e.g. ‘member X is a bit tinfoilish on subject Y’.
