A small state on the eastern seaboard of the USA. It has a certain reputation to Americans, while Europeans generally have not heard of it. This is not helped by the fact that Americans often refer to it simply as ‘Jersey’ and Britons think they mean the one in the English Channel.
New Jersey reportedly has an industrialised northern half and a pleasant green southern half. It seems to be used as a commuting zone for people who work in nearby New York City.
