Small city in Northumbria (the kingdom), and its sometime capital. Pronounced ‘Durrem’.

Famous for St Cuthbert, the massive cathedral, having a dodgy (ie atheist) bishop in the 1980s, and fighting a successful English resistance to the Norman conquest for several years after 1066. In an AH.com context it is famous for being the home of Landshark. Leej is from there too though he doesn’t like to mention it in polite conversation.

Durham has one of the most evil-looking flags in the world. The civic anthem is the “Pink Panther” theme, to which are set the words “Durham, Durham, Durham Durham Durham Durham DurHAAAAAM - Durham”
